Before I blog on, I should perhaps explain who I am... My name is Claire and I am Zillo Record's Online Marketing/PR Officer. All very grand sounding I'm sure, but what it actually means is that I'm responsible for managing and developing this blog and website for JC and the rest of the Zillo Records team. Good job then that I'm also known as the Business Blog Angel!
How did I get involved?.. well, I discovered The Arc of Stars, one of Zillo Records artists/groups on MySpace and was so completely taken with the music that I emailed this Jason C Rogers character to ask if I could use a sample of 'Deliverance' in my Blogging for Business podcast. He agreed, we became friends and the rest, as they say, is history.
If you have any suggestions or requests for things you'd like to see here on the blog or the website, please do hit the 'comments' button below this post and leave us a message. In fact, you can do that on any post here on the blog - we'd love to hear from you and are looking forward to getting to know you. :o)

Hi Claire and everyone at Zillo!
Congratulations on the new site, it looks and sounds great. I love the late night feel - might just browse over here and listen to some tracks while I'm getting ready for late night blog writing!
Just one small bit of feedback on the music playing automatically when you land here (I know there is a technical term for this but can't remember it). I normally back off very quickly from sites with automatic sound (partly as it startles me if I'm in an internet trance...) - I didn't with your site but only because I 'knew' you via the recommendation from Claire. I appreciate you'll want to give readers/listeners every chance to hear your stuff and guess this just needs to be balanced with the risk that some people will leave before listening properly or exploring what else is here.
Off now to get my free download - thanks guys!

Hi Joanna - and thank you so much for the feedback. I totally agree with you that music starting automatically when you enter a site can be intrusive and annoying. I am also a 'backer outer'. However...
We thought long and hard about what to do here and reasoned that since most visitors are coming here for music, we would give them what they want immediately. We have placed the player right at the top of the page with the words 'playing now' so we hope we've made it easy to turn the loop off if desired. And we chose the music for its gentle, ambient qualities.
BUT, we are always open to this kind of feedback - its really useful and most welcome. So, we'd be very interested to hear from others around this issue. Should the music start immediately - or is it a big turn off - even on a music site? Use the form below to join in this conversation.
