Thursday 15th January saw a fantastic evening of music as the Acoustic Shift literally shifted to The Globe on Albany Road in Cardiff.
The night started around 8:30 with a fantastic set from folk duo Amber Hour, and around 9:30 Arc of Stars took the stage. Jas played a few chilled out solo songs, and as the set went on the band just grew andgrew until for a final rendition of 'Peace is in my Soul' no less than9 fabulous Cardiff stalwarts on had taken to the stage; Sadie Finch -Flute, Ade Wiggins - Percussion, Dan Pressley - Drums, Nick Walker -Bass, Tom Jackson - Sax, Dave and Owen from the Biscuits on backing vocals and special guest star Viv Locke on Guitar. For those that were there, it was a mind blowing experience to be in a room with such exquisite sounds and so many great musicians.
The Whistling Biscuits then went on to finish the night with an inspiring set of songs, including a brief blast of 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air'! A great night had by all and I know many Cardiffians who can't wait for the next one.
The Globe provided a fantastic venue for an evening of great music and we are all looking forward to the next Zillo Shifts hosted there: Funk Shift 24th January & Latin Shift 31st January!
